Freelance Writer
Craig started his professional; career in broadcasting; as a radio announcer, news reporter, and advertising account executive. During that time, he wrote and produced hundreds of radio and television commercials, public service announcements, and news stories.
In 1993, Craig was lured into marketing engineering services where he spent the next 20 years writing detailed semi-technical ‘Statement of Qualifications’ in pursuit of engineering projects for the firms in which he worked.
He became one of the first non-technical persons to achieve a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) certification through the U.S. Green Building Council in 2008.
In 2014, Craig left the engineering world, a casualty of the recession, and became a freelance writer, providing newsletter and blog content for clients in various industries. From 2015 to ’18, Craig worked as a contributing writer for the Las Vegas Business Press, producing over 100 in-depth articles on a wide range of subjects from technology, to medical, economics, and local business. He has also written over a dozen profiles on some of Las Vegas’s most prominent individuals. In 2018, Craig was the editor of bizNEVADA Magazine, a monthly four-color publication with a circulation of 20,000 “C-Suite” executives. The magazine folded in March 2019.
